Alert Suppression
Suppress alerts during planned maintenance to prevent noise. Maintenance windows temporarily mute alerts or automated actions for a defined duration, optionally filtered to specific alert rules.
Maintenance Windows
Each window has a start time, end time, and suppression mode.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | Auto-generated identifier (maint_<timestamp>) |
| Duration | Length in seconds. Countdown shown as "Xs remaining" in the sidebar. |
| Rule Filter | Optional comma-separated rule IDs. Empty = suppress all rules. |
| Actions Only | When enabled, alerts still fire but automated escalation actions are suppressed. |
| Status | Green dot = active (currently suppressing), gray = scheduled (not yet started) |
Creating a Maintenance Window
Use the Add Maintenance Window modal (accessible from the Monitoring sidebar). Fill in duration, optional rule filter, and suppression mode.
Sidebar View
The Monitoring > Suppression sidebar subsection shows:
- Summary: "X active / Y total" count of maintenance windows
- Window List: Each row shows ID, status dot, remaining time, and a delete button
- Hover Card: Full details — status, remaining seconds, suppression mode, and applied rule filters
